It was a great wedding reception and everyone had a blast! You get the pictures back and there are some really great shots of everyone getting funky. But… there are a few shots where you are in the background looking like a total putz. It happens. It just does. But… wait. How did this happen? WHY did this happen? What’s a fun-loving wedding guest to do?
Easy. Just follow these simple rules :
1) Never blink. Ever. The average person blinks about 23,000 times a day. However, most people don’t realize that blinking is a lifestyle choice. If you feel like there is a lot of dry air in the room, using something gentle like Scotch tape on your eyelids and a spray bottle with water works.
2) Never stare at your drink. Ever. Staring at your drink in the background of a photo makes you seem like maybe you don’t need another one. If you aren’t sure how much is left or if someone put a cigarette butt in it, don’t take chances. Take it in a bathroom stall. Yeah, that sounds dumb, but no one you like will have a picture of it.
3) Never look at anyone’s butt on the dance floor without being sure they aren’t related to you first. Even if it’s just for a moment because you saw the biggest mosquito ever land on it… don’t. Just don’t. That picture will make people believe, such as Aunt Margaret, that your eyes were glued to cousin Sara’s posterior the whole night.
4) Never realize you are walking in to a shot, make a surprised face, and slow walk backwards out of the shot. You won’t make it! Just strut and look important. You probably are.
5) Hire us. We get enough great shots that we don’t need to use shots where people look stupid.
Now, following those easy to understand rules, you should be able to comfortably have an awesome time at the reception and look totally cool in the background.
