“Shane and Michelle were the best choice for our wedding day. Such a fun, cool couple to be around and the end result is beautiful wedding photos that you’ll cherish for years. They took the time to get to know us and really made sure that our wedding photos were a reflection of us as people and not just stock wedding poses.”

How much are your wedding collections?

Our Signature Wedding Coverage begins at $2995. Michelle & Shane bring their experience, skill, and sense of humor, working as a team to provide a great experience and unparalleled coverage for your wedding day, combining unobtrusive photojournalistic style with stunning portraiture.

.

How do I reserve my date?

A signed contract and a deposit are required to officially reserve your date. We often receive multiple inquiries and have meetings for the same dates, so to secure our professional services, it is important to let us know when to expect a signed contract and payment. We do offer online contracts and we prefer cash or check for deposits.  If you want to pay your deposit with credit card, just ask.

.

What products do you offer? Can I get albums, books, prints, canvases, etc.?

We offer an extensive line of professional products. We custom-design our wedding albums, apply expert retouching and polishing, proof them to our clients, and print through quality printing houses. Additionally, we offer online ordering, and apply our expert retouching & polishing to every image ordered through us. We offer a variety of albums, books, canvases, prints, framing, and more. This is something we can discuss at your consultation, planning session, or during your album meeting after the wedding.

.

How many weddings have you shot?

For our Signature Collections, Michelle and Shane have shot over 300 weddings as a team and are looking forward to more! We've been in business since 2005 and have devoted a lot of time and effort to perfecting our art. Weddings are a lot of work and a lot of fun!

.

How much do you edit or process wedding images?

Trends come and go and we avoid cheesy processing. The overall look we strive to achieve is vibrant and timeless with a relaxed and fun feel.  We expertly tweak every image for the best color and contrast, and further polish and retouch select images to make them shine or create truly unique works of art. We include some black and whites, and sometimes a few alternate processes, but also include the original version to guarantee that timeless aspect. We shoot in RAW format and process each image with software ourselves, allowing us to do the processing that the camera normally would, which further allows us to apply an extra layer of skill to the production of our wedding images.

.

Do I receive a disc of all the images?

All of our wedding collections include copies of the final set of images. Studio E Photography reserves the right to decide which images are placed in the final set of images. Every click of the button isn't golden, even though we are awesome. There are blinking shots, unflattering expressions, and redundant images that are just too similar to one another. Relax. We'll deliver a set of beautiful, polished images that you will cherish and enjoy sharing.  We don't set any limits on the number of images, so you get everything you should get.  To get a rough idea, for weddings, it usually averages out to about 100 images /hour of shooting with two photographers, though it varies.

.

Do I get the rights to print my own pictures?

Along with your digital images delivered on USB in a fancy folding case, you will receive a printed release from Studio E granting you the rights to print the images for personal use. If you are out printing somewhere, and they ask for the release but you forgot it, it's no problem to have them call us at 502.426.9300 and we'll give the okay.

.

Do you shoot a lot of posed images or real moments?

Portraits are an important part of the wedding day and so are real moments.  Most of our free time over the past ten years has been spent perfecting both.  An important part of our timeless look is creating portraits with a warm, natural feel. By far, the majority of our images from the wedding will be candids, as we strive to preserve all of the special moments of the day. When it comes time to shoot portraits, we don't do cheesy stuff. We've invested a lot of time in learning how to relax our clients and getting them to interact with another so we can get real portraits. We've also invested a lot of time in studying posing and body language, so if we do need to provide additional guidance, it's not a problem at all.

.

Do you offer online proofing and ordering? Will I be able to share my images online?

All of our wedding collections include online proofing for 90 days. These images are provided in a password-protected gallery for proofing purposes only and anyone with whom the bride shares the password may log in and view them or purchase prints or other products if they like. Extending the gallery longer is no problem and done at no charge within the first two years.

FAQ Louisville Wedding Photography

.

Who is going to shoot my wedding?

You'll know who your photographers are and it will be outlined in the contract. If you choose our Signature Collection, you are guaranteed Michelle and Shane.

.

What happens if you get sick?

We'll probably still show up and work.  We always have so far.  However, if for some reason, one of your photographers can't show up, Studio E Photography will find and supply an alternate from the photographers available. These terms are outlined in the wedding contract. We maintain a network of great photographer friends and if the need ever arises, will provide the best possible replacement.

.

Do you carry backup equipment?

Michelle and Shane each have separate gear, complete with their own individual backup gear.

.

Will you shoot everything on my Pinterest boards?

Of course. Just tell us when to open fire... Oh, wait, you mean 'photograph' when you say shoot. Well, we do our best. In our experience, trying to recreate shots is very time consuming and can result in less than ideal results depending on the situation. We utilize our own creativity to work with you with the locations and lighting presented on your wedding day. We will, of course, happily look over your Pinterest boards as inspiration towards what you like.  There are some simple shots that are easily recreated, of course, as well, and we are happy to accommodate.

.

Do you travel?

We will travel. Yes, indeed. There is usually no travel fee for weddings around the Louisville-side of Lexington, Cincinnati, and Indianapolis. You go too far out and, yeah, we probably charge something. Just ask and find out. We are pretty reasonable people. We typically don't exchange shooting for lodging, though, but, hey, if your location is super awesome, it doesn't hurt to ask!
